Vanuatu Resorts

We have selected the following Vanuatu resorts based on their privacy, ‘no children’ policy, romantic atmosphere, in-resort dining and their own individual ambience. There’s also some excellent value with many of the resorts offering deals like Stay 7 nights and Pay 5 for nights.
The Havannah is a stunning resort about 25 minutes from Port Vila, located on the beach at Samoa Point, overlooking Havannah Harbour. It is a classy but casual resort with a no-children policy so is perfect for couples wanting a relaxing honeymoon and a bit of indulgence. Initially the resort opened with just six villas, each with a plunge pool, and a restaurant.
In 2010 a lovely large pool was added along with Sunset and Lagoon Villas that makes the resort fall within most couple’s budget - and there are six villas with plunge pools and Vanuatu’s only true overwater bungalow for those who want to splash out a bit. The restaurant gets rave reviews for the location, service and the food and, for a truly romantic dining experience, they can set a table on the jetty over a glass panel so you can enjoy the marine life below, the stars above and delicious dining.
Contemporary and very private, Mangoes was one of the first resorts to adopt a ‘no children policy’ when it opened a few years ago and the first to welcome same-sex couples.
Set high on the ridge above Erakor Lagoon there are 20 tasteful appointed, detached bungalows, two swimming pools and a charming restaurant. Couples may also choose to dine in their bungalow or on their balcony and in-house massages can be arranged.
New owner Callum has just finished a stylish refurbish, it is a walk or a short bus ride to Vila town and there’s a tour desk offering tours and activities.
Located in Port Vila Harbour with all the facilities you expect from a quality resort, Iririki has long been a favourite for romantic breaks. The resort has been recently refurbished and offers relaxed elegance. There are 70 rooms on this private island (three minutes from town on a free 24hr ferry) and facilities include swimming pool, bars, room service, watersports and the signature restaurant, Michener’s.
The manager hosts a guest cocktail party on Monday nights and the Melanesian Feast on Tuesdays is usually a sell-out. The resort also features Spa Frangipani for a range of Day Spa services including facials, massages, waxing and nails.
Sunset Bungalows is a stylish boutique resort. Just a few minutes from Port Vila on the lagoon, there are eight Lagoon View Studios, ten Superior Waterfront Bungalows (a few with cooking facilities) and one Honeymoon Spa Bungalow set in tropical gardens right on the water. There’s a swimming pool with cascade and an excellent lagoon terrace restaurant.
All rooms have air-conditioning, TV/DVD and look across the lagoon to the sunset. There can be no more than 39 people at the resort at any time and the friendly staff will make you feel at home.
